Onam 2015

Onam celebration was held on 20^th, August, 2015 in the college. The day was warmly welcomed in the college. From morning onwards the students were engaged in the preparation of flowers for the “Onapookalam”. All the students were dressed in Kerala style. The boys prefer shirt and munde while girls were in sari. Most of the boys were dressed in Premam style (black shirt and white munde) but some were in kurthas. All most all girls wore white sari.  The onam programme was organized by second year students. The programme was well arranged by them. The programme starts by the entry of “Mavelli” followed by “Pulikali”. Then a huge Thiruvathira organized by second years and played by fresher’s was held in front of the college (around the circle).After Thiruvathira, the “Onakallikal” starts. There were many games like “Theetamalsaram”,”Vellamkudi Malsaram”,”Panchagusthi”, etc. Then the great “Vadamvalli” starts. There were four teams’ freshers, second years, third years and PG.The PG group won the game. Then the most interesting item took over “Onathalle”. It was well organized by second years and third years. After the Onathalle “Onasadhya” was served. After having the marvelous sadhya all the students and staffs wish onam greetings each other and go to enjoy their onam vacation.
